Secure Card Access Devices for Electronic ID Cards

"Electronic Identity Cards" with smart card technology are used in many areas such as e-government, banking, health and telecommunications. The fact that identity verification can be done securely in electronic environment enables many services to be provided through electronic environment. Card readers are required for authentication in electronic environment with the new generation ID cards developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM. Especially in the case of using the biometric information in the card for identity verification, it is mandatory to use a secure card reader approved by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSI) for confidentiality reasons. For this purpose, TSI and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM have prepared a new four-part standard entitled "Secure Card Access Devices for Turkish ID Card":

3. Secure Card Access Devices for TS 13584 TR ID Card – Part 3: Security Features
4. Secure Card Access Devices for TS 13585 TR ID Card – Part 4: SCAD Application Software Features
