Cryptographic Algorithms of Hardware Security Module DIRAK NHSM were validated by OKTEM According to International Standards

Common Criteria Testing and Evaluation Laboratory (OKTEM) within TÜBİTAK BİLGEM has verified the compliance of the DIRAK NHSM Hardware Security Module cryptographic algorithms with international standards.

OKTEM, Türkiye's first and only cryptographic module testing laboratory, licensed by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSI) and accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK), successfully verified and the cryptographic algorithms of the DIRAK NHSM Hardware Security Module which includes national physical "Random Number Generator" technology.

Within the scope of verification, it was confirmed that the hash algorithms, symmetric and asymmetric algorithms work in accordance with the standards. In this way, it has been proven that the device's functions such as key generation, encryption, decryption, signing and signature verification work properly and correctly.

Thanks to the Cryptographic Algorithm Verification Program (CAVP) established in Türkiye, cryptographic modules can be tested according to internationally recognized ISO/IEC 19790 standard instead of FIPS 140-3 standard which is valid only in America and Canada.

By gaining the ability to carry out these tests in the OKTEM laboratory within TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, another critical step was taken towards our country's independence in the field of informatics and information security.
